Seedance 1.0 Pro is ByteDance Seed's first-generation video foundation model in the Seedance line, built to turn a written scene or a starting image into a short clip. ByteDance describes native multi-shot output, where subject, style and atmosphere stay consistent across cuts, at up to 1080p. It takes text and image input only; the reference, extension and editing operations arrive with Seedance 2.0.
Where it works well

- Longer scenes need clips stitched together, while Seedance 2.5 generates up to thirty seconds in one pass.
