It runs in about four inference steps instead of the 25 to 50 of the standard Edit checkpoint. It follows one text instruction on one reference image, with object, attribute, background, and style edits plus Chinese and English text.

Where it works well

Distillation to about four steps makes edits much faster than the standard Edit checkpoint.
The same edit set applies as the full checkpoint: insertion, replacement, removal, material changes, backgrounds, and style transfer.
Apache-2.0 licence and Chinese and English text editing carry over from the Boogu family.

When to choose another model

Speed comes from distillation, so the standard Edit checkpoint is the better pick when edit quality matters most.
For dense text rendering, the Boogu authors recommend their base model at 2K rather than a Turbo checkpoint.
Only one reference image is accepted, and results are more stable at 1K than 2K.
